Shady Rays classic style sunglasses [giveaway]

Summer is over, but the sun is still shining. How about some sunglasses with 100% UVA/UVB protection and classic style?

With durability and classic style, you'll find the perfect pair at Shady Rays. From their signature series to the classic aviator series, there’s a lot to like.

While the overall selection won't blow you away in size, there really isn't a pair I don't like. Shady Rays are also affordable and won't break the bank, which is important in order to be competitive in the eye wear market.

My wife and I typically like the wayfarer style, as most people do, and we're fans of Shady Rays' classic clear sunglasses in deep brown. This particular pair has a very durable frame with 100% UVA/UVB blocking shatterproof grey lenses.

And they are sharp! They sit comfortably, fit even large heads like mine (hey, I've got a big brain), and they're stylin'.

Furthermore, you can get a free replacement if your sunglasses are lost or broken for any reason. Any reason at all. You just need to pay a few dollars for shipping, which is a great deal if you ask me. So browse the Shady Rays shop and check out the designs.

Now... who wants a pair?! The folks at Shady Rays have been gracious enough to offer up a pair of sunglasses of your choice to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader.

  39. Just received two pairs from shadyrays.com in the Classic style (Deep Timber Polarized and Rock Timber Polarize) on a BOGO (buy one, get one free) offer at $45 total. These are absurdly thin and lightweight frames (some may see that as a plus, to me they feel very cheaply made), and the wood grain in the plastic frames makes the appearance of both pairs looks very cheap. The look and feel is similar to sunglasses you'd get for less than $10/each at a gas station. They may be very sturdy, I don't know as I just received then, but I don't want to waste $45 to find out I'm wrong so I'll be returning them. The cases I got for $7 each using the PROTECT discount code. They feel very thin and not sturdy, so they'll be going back, too.

At the regular price of $45 or less, you can shop online and find sunglasses in that price range (without even using 25% discount codes available) from makers like Bolle, Julbo, Hobie, Native, Smith, Zeal, and Coyote (all genuine, no fakes). So know going in you have options in this price range.

I will admit, part of me is tempted to keep them and see just how they will hold up to abuse (even with the 2 free replacement guarantee fro SR). But I've had such good luck with sunglasses from the makers I listed above to take a chance on these. At under $23 each as I paid, I would only recommend them to buyers that are looking for absurdly lightweight frames, such as long-distance hikers/runners/cyclists where every ounce may count, and the cheap appearance is irrelevant.
