Fleece blanket from the Whitknees Etsy shop [giveaway]

We're halfway through December already! And that means it's getting cold for those of us in the North. It also means the holidays are very close, so why not give something warm?

Blankets come in handy all the time at my house, especially for keeping warm as we try to save money by not turning the heat up. Even the cat loves his blankets.

The Whitknees Etsy shop makes soft, quality fleece blankets, including tie dye patterns. The tie dye blankets in particular have a solid color on one side and the pattern on the other. At 72 x 58 inches, it's large enough for most adults and roomy for the kids.

The edges are sewn together rather than tied, so it's a little different than the tying method, which is a common method for making fleece blankets. My wife used to make the tie blankets actually. Whitney's fleeces are put together nicely.

Whitney has also created a Go-Fund-Me campaign to raise money to make 100 blankets to give to the homeless and those in need. Winter is here, so consider making a donation in any amount to help someone!

Here are a couple other fun patterns. Check out the Etsy shop for more.

So who wants a blanket?! Whitney is graciously offering the pink tie dye fleece blanket to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader. She also has a code SETH10 for 10% off orders via her shop, expiring 3/31/16.

C4 Belts: Choose your color, choose your cause [giveaway]

Brown and black isn't very exciting. How about turquoise? Or bright white? Or a combination of whatever you want?

I recently custom ordered a navy belt with a mint-colored buckle from C4 Belts. Mint, what the what? The belt is made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) plastic, which is the same stuff that lines snowmobile tracks. Pretty cool.

Navy belt with mint buckle

C4 promotes individuality through quality custom belts that give back. The giving back part is important. C4 stands for Choose your Color, Choose your Cause. You'll be looking cool on the outside and feeling good on the inside knowing a contribution was made to causes like the Boys & Girls Club of America.

The belt is durable and will fit men, women, and even kids. To get it sized right, you cut the end that has no holes and put the buckle back on. The belts and buckles are also interchangeable, you can mix and match when ordering more. The combinations are endless.

You can even get these babies wet as they're waterproof. Wear it with your swim trunks or whatever. And if you want to clean it, stick it in the washing machine or dishwasher (top rack).

There are awesome colors and designs in the C4 collection, so check it out and play with the combinations.

Mission Belt will charm your socks off and keep your pants on [giveaway]

Need a holiday gift? You can't go wrong with a leather belt from Mission Belt. When you buy one of their belts you become part of a great philanthropic effort - they call it "the mission." Mission Belt wants you to look good and feel good. That's why a dollar from every belt goes to fight hunger and poverty worldwide.

I recently got my hands on the TwentyFour belt in light brown. My old belt got so worn out, mostly in the holes, that it became raggedy and a bit ugly. Mission's belts, however, don't have holes so there's no chance of wear and making holes bigger!

The TwentyFour - gold buckle, light brown belt

Behold a belt with fierce power and a voice that will charm your socks off! Mission Belt will also keep your pants on. The TwentyFour belt in particular (pictured above) is in a class all by itself with a sleek, spring-loaded caliber mechanism in the stainless steel buckle.

I can attest that it's classy, comfortable, and snugly fits to your waist size whether you just had a big holiday dinner or you're feelin' slim. There are no holes.

So how does it work without holes? There's a hidden track on the backside of the belt and a release tab on the underside of the buckle which allows you to easily make adjustments.

Nice packaging presentation

There are awesome colors and designs in the leather belt collection, so check it out and browse around. You can go casual or dressy with the entire collection of belts.

So who wants to win a belt?! The folks at Mission Belt are graciously offering one leather belt of your choice to one Giveaway Guy reader.

The Squatty Potty toilet stool is a life-changer [giveaway]

About 10 months ago I partnered with Squatty Potty for a stool giveaway and it was a bigger success than I anticipated! People found the toilet stool intriguing, including myself, and now we're doing another giveaway.

I first discovered Squatty Potty while watching ABC's Shark Tank with family. At first we all chuckled when they did a demonstration to show how it's used. Let's face it, pooping is a funny and awkward topic.

But then I started to take it seriously as the Squatty Potty founders explained how effective the stool is.

Here's what I learned. We're designed to squat, but instead we sit on toilets. Sitting keeps the colon kinked, kind of like when there's a kink in a hose and the flow of water is slowed. Squatting, on the other hand, allows the colon to fully relax and empty quickly.

I suffer from IBS, so constipation is a regular part of my life. My eyes lit up when I saw there's a solution that could help! And for less than $30, you're getting a lot of value for something that can be a life-changer.

And here's a funny, demonstrative video:

So who wants to win something?! The folks at Squatty Potty have been gracious enough to offer up a free toilet stool to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader.

Comfy Commuter travel pillow [giveaway]

If you've ever been to an airport, you've probably seen plenty of pillows for sale, and priced at a premium too. I've always thought those shops and over-priced stuff are for suckers.

Comfy Commuter, on the other hand, is a small family business and their original travel pillow was created simply because they could not find a comfortable neck pillow when they traveled. I think we all know the levels of discomfort we deal with when trying to rest while on the go. Sleeping in the car, let alone on a plane, is tough.

Resting peacefully I imagine...

Since the Comfy Commuter travel pillow was first offered for sale in 2010, minor design improvements have been made to make it even better. However, the support and cradling of the head & neck is the foundation of the pillow.

Yes, it looks kinda funny, but the pillow really does provide cushy support for my big, brainiac head, and my neck too. I first tried it while sitting on the couch at home and it worked great. You know the feeling of your head starting to bob up and down as you drift to sleep? There's no bobbing or shifting with the pillow and I have a nice feeling of stability. My head's not going anywhere.

The chin strap offers additional support, and it "locks you in" so to speak. I found it to be rather tight and you don't even need it the way the pillow is designed to fit around your neck.

I let my Mom try the pillow for her 12-hour flight to Hawaii and she seemed pretty happy with it. As for the car, my wife and I go on road trips every year and we'll be sure to bring this along. Our annual 14-hour trip to the Midwest is brutal without taking a nap.

Now... who wants a pillow?! The folks at Comfy Commuter have been gracious enough to offer up an original travel pillow in the color of your choice to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader.

SWIG luxury hip flask [giveaway]

Whenever I see a flask or hear about one, I almost always think of this bit by comedian Jim Gaffigan.

My favorite gift I've ever received is a flask. I think giving someone a flask is a nice way of saying, "Hey, you seem like a drunk on the go."

But in all seriousness, a flask is great and you don't need to be a lush to have one! SWIG recently sent me a flask to review, and they're a worldwide luxury hip flask brand. I've also learned flasks are also known as "hip flasks," so add that to your knowledge of booze.

SWIG puts a lot of effort into quality of their products (not just flasks), and therefore they're happy to give a lifetime guarantee. Can't complain about that! The flasks are designed to last for generations, and I expect my flask will as it's nicely made.

First of all, the flask comes in a nice, slim box that's wrapped with ribbon. I can see this as a popular gift for groomsmen, and you can get an engraving too if you so feel inclined. The box is classy and reminds me of something a necklace might come in. (Sorry, no picture of the box)

Source: swigflasks.com

Secondly, the SWIG Flask is snugly and firmly encased in the executive pouch, which is made of high-end leather that's 'wet moulded' by leather artisans based in the Spanish town of Ubrique. It's got a sleek feel and doesn't feel like it would slip out of my hand... even if I've had a few drinks! There are a few color options for the pouch as well.

Maybe you need a bit of liquid courage at a party. Or you want to spike your iced tea while on the golf course. Fill up your flask (SWIG also has a stainless steel funnel to make pouring easy), enjoy the benefits of taking a refreshment with you, and be responsible.

One thing to note is the cap does not have an attachment. So when you take the cap off, hold on to it! You don't want to lose that baby.

So who wants to win something?! The folks at SWIG are graciously offering a hip flask to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader. Choose either a Harris tweed flask or Executive Molded flask.

Become upstoppable! Free entry to any Spartan Race [giveaway]

I previously held a Spartan Race giveaway back in July and we're back with another one!

As I've mentioned many times on my blog before, in the past I've participated in the Spartan Race sprint at Fenway Park in chilly November and it was more challenging than I expected. But I finished feeling accomplished and it kicked my butt to say the least.

Spartan Race has a handful of ballpark races, and if you're nearby one of 'em, you should consider signing up. It gives you the chance to run throughout the park - even on the field - and it's a rare experience. There aren't many opportunities to get onto the field without spending the night in jail.

Getting to the race is the first step of success. Richard Branson of Virgin Group, a pretty smart dude, said this:
“People who push the limits get much more out of life than those who watch others do it.”

Do yourself a favor, put on your big boy pants, and sign up for a race. I'm the first to admit I don't have a tough mindset, but I felt #unstoppable after finishing my first Spartan.

To prepare yourself, the Summer training guide is still available for FREE to download. Forget that it's not summer. You can get in shape at the gym or at home.

Mix up your summer work out routine and learn proper form for all of the foundational movements of a Spartan Race. So check out the guide and get ready to dominate your next race and become one step closer to earning your Trifecta!

So who wants to win a free race?! The folks at Spartan Race have been gracious enough to offer up a free entry to any Spartan Race in the continental U.S. to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader.

Note: The code will work one time for any 2016 open heat (non-confirmed start time) in the continental U.S.

Enter to win using the Rafflecopter form below. You may share on Twitter once a day for extra points for the duration of the giveaway.
