As I've mentioned many times on my blog before, in the past I've participated in the Spartan Race sprint at Fenway Park in chilly November and it was more challenging than I expected. But I finished feeling accomplished and it kicked my butt to say the least.
Spartan Race has a handful of ballpark races, and if you're nearby one of 'em, you should consider signing up. It gives you the chance to run throughout the park - even on the field - and it's a rare experience. There aren't many opportunities to get onto the field without spending the night in jail.
Getting to the race is the first step of success. Richard Branson of Virgin Group, a pretty smart dude, said this:
“People who push the limits get much more out of life than those who watch others do it.”
Do yourself a favor, put on your big boy pants, and sign up for a race. I'm the first to admit I don't have a tough mindset, but I felt #unstoppable after finishing my first Spartan.
