Behold... sword keys for your home [giveaway]

Key designs are usually pretty boring. Chances are you lock your home once or twice a day, look right at that boring key, and go on with your day.

Well what about a key that's cool? Let me introduce you to The Key Armory, which makes sword-shaped keys for your home.

As kids, the guys at The Key Armory were inspired by heroes who wielded swords, and would strive to be more like them. Today, they remember their roots on a daily basis with keys - something simple that's used every day.

Blade of the Direwolf sword key, freshly cut

The Key Armory has graced me with a sword key of my own, the Blade of the Direwolf. This is awesome if you're a Game of Thrones fan like I am.

We can’t all be like Jon Snow with his legendary sword of Valyrian Steel (probably too heavy for me anyway), but we can keep a replica of his sword on our key ring. With the Blade of the Direwolf you can take on the White Walkers. Am I talking about the key or the actual sword? Hmm...

Actually, the Blade of the Direwolf sword key is not made from real Valyrian Steel, so lock your doors if you see White Walkers nearby.

Lock your door if you see a White Walker

Sword keys work just like any other key. Take it to the hardware store to be copied and cut and you're ready. Whenever I take my keys out I smile to myself when I see the sword hanging. My wife calls me a nerd, but hey, it's a conversation starter too.

OK, so not all keys are the same. You need to figure out which type of key way is best for you. It's probably one of two types, so check out the reference guide below. When you order a key from The Key Armory you select either Kwikset or Schlage.

So who wants a sword key?! The folks at The Key Armory have been gracious enough to offer a key of your choice (but not the pre-order keys) to THREE lucky Giveaway Guy readers.
