Amazon gift card and "Strange Luck" by Amie Irene Winters

A world like nothing you've ever seen...

Amie Irene Winters was born and raised in California but now lives and writes in western Pennsylvania. She is the author of the award-winning Strange Luck series.

When not writing, Amie can be found hiking with her dog, baking desserts, or breaking a sweat in kickboxing class.

Strange Luck is a faced-paced adventure that pulls you into a world of imagination with twists and turns. Think Narnia meets Alice In Wonderland.

All Daisy Darling wanted was to be a writer. What she got was more than she bargained for. As it turns out, the quaint little town of Sea Salt, California houses more than adorable cottages and huge redwood trees. Beneath the coastal charm rests a strange world where wizards, fairies, time-altering portals, and dark magic looms.

A world where memories can be your greatest currency—and weapon.

A world where you can never reclaim what's been taken from you.

After stumbling into the mysterious world, Daisy’s memories begin to rapidly disintegrate, but she doesn't even know she’s losing them. As if things couldn't get any worse, Daisy learns she is the only one who can save herself.

Daisy’s very identity is at stake, but the odds aren’t in her favor. Can she discover the secret to win back her freedom before it's too late?

Still curious about the author? Here's a quick Q&A about books with Amie...

What inspires you to write?
Discovering unexpected magic in everyday life.

How long does it take you to write a book, on average?
About 1 ½ years. I try to write the whole thing in one year and then leave the rest of the time for edits and getting it ready for publication.

What are you working on right now?
After putting out 1 book a year for 3 years straight, I've decided to take a short break from writing to focus on my other hobbies like painting and playing music. I have some ideas for a psychological thriller though.

What's the best writing tip you can offer?
Love what you do. If you're finding writing too stressful, or are just not feeling it, take a break. You'd be amazed at what a little time off can do to boost creativity.

What's a book written by another author everyone should read in their lifetime?
Probably The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Not many people know that it was a book before it was a movie. The book is so much better!!! It's an imaginative, deep, and beautiful story that is highly underrated. It's also one of the only books that made me cry at the end because it was over.
