$40 Amazon gift card and romance author Kate Allure

What happens when a feminist falls for a dominant man?

Kate Allure writes erotic romances that celebrate sensuality, sexual exploration and, of course, true love. Writing for Entangled Publishing and Sourcebooks, her books feature real women meeting handsome professional, working men as they go about their everyday lives, and the fun they have behind closed doors!

Kate's latest release, Her Gentleman Dom, is the perfect escape from reality with light BDSM and a sexy love story.

What happens when a feminist falls for a dominant man?

Lilli is thrown together with a wickedly sexy British architect on a San Francisco building project, but her paralyzing attraction to the man could ruin her career. An experienced Dom, Finn never initiates unsuspecting, young women into his dungeon, but hints of her sexual subservience along with her can—do spirit are irresistible. After a night of passion, Lilli discovers his true nature and runs, only to return later and offer her submission, but Finn doubts she'll have the moxie to survive his training. It's up to Lilli to prove she can flourish under his loving bondage.

Be prepared to fall to your knees.

Still curious about the author? Here are a few questions and answers about books and erotica with Kate.

What inspires you to write?
I have written stories since elementary school. I even ran across an illustrated multi-chapter book I wrote in 6th grade recently that was among my mother’s things. I read it and was pleasantly surprised. Today my writing is inspired by women’s newfound freedom to explore their sexuality, to own it, and the inherent conflict that can sometimes happen when it seems like you’re going against what you thought you believed. This is Lilli’s issue. She’s a feminist, a take-charge career woman that discovers she’s a sexual submissive—but only in the bedroom!

How long does it take you to write a book, on average?
That changes with every book. Obviously a 100,000 word book takes longer than a 50,000 word one, but some just flow and others are more of a struggle. Funny, but I really can’t answer that.

What are you working on right now?
I have a London sex club series, Club Exotica, coming out next year and I’m super excited about it. They’re 100K stories and the first two manuscripts are done. Now I need to get started on the third.

What's the best writing tip you can offer?
Write every day, even if it’s only for 15 minutes. Writing is like exercise—only doing it will make you better at it.

What's a book written by another author everyone should read in their lifetime?
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck because it’s about the human struggle and our inherent nature that encompasses both selfish greed and deep compassion.

Gift cards are now available at TallSlim Tees! [giveaway]

Catch any of my previous TallSlim Tees posts? I'm back with more to share from these guys.

If you're tall then you need to give this brand a look. I like that I can browse everything they carry and know that something will fit just right. Shirts are their bread and butter and come in a variety of sizes, styles, and colors for men 6'0" to 7'0."

TallSlim Tees was founded in 2014 by Dan Deceuster after years of frustration with t-shirt sizes (much like the frustration of my own with clothes in general), and designed a custom t-shirt specifically for tall, lean men like myself.

TallSlim Tees has a bunch of new stuff, including the plaid flannel button up, which recently caught my eye.

They've created their plaid button up shirts with 100% lightweight flannel cotton that is soft, breathable, and durable. The button down collar completes the look for an informal night on the town or business casual. And of course you can pair it with their tees.

Be sure to check out the sizing for all shirts because it's not standard:
  • Small will fit guys anywhere from 6'0" and 130 lbs. to 6'4" and 150 lbs.
  • Medium will fit guys anywhere from 6'2" and 150 lbs. to 6'6" and 200 lbs.
  • Large is for guys who are 6'4" to 6'8" and 200 lbs. to 250 lbs.
  • X-large has you covered if you are 6'8" to 7'0" and 250 lbs. to 300 lbs.

Another shirt I proudly own is the tall v-neck, the original and top-selling v-neck t-shirt. It's made from a 50/50 cotton polyester blend - soft and lightweight. I'm 6'5" and the large fits like a dream.

This v-neck is designed specifically for slim & tall men looking for a tailored fit. It kinda hugs your figure so don't be shy now.

So, would you like to add something to your wardrobe?

TallSlim Tees is giving away a $25 gift card to one lucky Giveaway Guy reader - $25 will get you nearly anything they offer!

$40 Amazon gift card and the return of fantasy author Kadee Carder

Do you recognize this blue-haired angel? Welcome back to the blog, Kadee Carder!

Kadee is fierce yet sparkly, rallying seekers to thrive in their stories. The goal is magic, the medium is ink, and the fuel is coffee. And sometimes pizza.

Kadee teaches English at the university level when she's not dancing around the living room with family, lifting at the gym, traveling the planet, or binging superhero shows.

And she likes blue hair.

In her new book, Earthshine, fear may be a liar, but hope can be a monster.

Saylor single-handedly saved the world from a devastating solar flare...and it nearly killed her. Now her father's Alliance Military Guard must track down pirated tech, missing ships, and a rogue billionaire, and they’ve requested a reluctant Saylor’s help.

Tucker spent a year training the rookie Guardsmen. They call themselves Dragons. He calls them defiant. Dispatched across the ocean on a mission to retrieve AMG's bootlegged tech, he rallies Saylor to overcome her fears and return to the field by his side.

Working together wielding unprecedented tech and determined to defy their destinies, the two wrangle missing ghosts, brunt force betrayal, and the swagger of power. What lies beneath the earth just might save it.

An excerpt from Earthshine to wet your whistle:

I accepted the document, two sweaty palms reaching, tentative, unprepared. I scanned the words, reading them aloud. “I've got this deep wrestling within my dark soul. A hunger for the oppressed. An almighty beckoning for the broken and bent, a writhing which cannot be tamed by silence. No; the silence, the hush, the hustle, cannot squelch the fire to share light for those trembling in the depths. I cannot stop giving of myself for my mission, for to stop is to suffocate. To quit, impossible. To surrender, unattainable. My wrestling therefore occurs not in the loss, but the gain. Loss no longer exists. All movement, all attempts, fulfill the mission. My mission.

For I have been redeemed, and I defeat the darkness within me by each lent hand and rescued soul whom I reach. I am Alliance. I defend freedom, defy injustice, and deepen creative productivity to enhance mankind’s survival. In living victory, I bear my burden, a warrior for my objective: Be powerful. Be consistent. Never quit. Finish the mission.”

My eyes glanced up from the words to my father, then back down, reading, re-reading. Recoiling. Rerouting. “I guess with this kind of mission statement, there’s no room for fear.”

“There’s no need for fear. It’s not part of the mission.”

“I am Alliance. I like it.”

“I am Alliance.”

“Hoo-rah.”

Still curious about the author? Time for an interview with Kadee...

What inspires you to write?
Writing is how I handle life. It helps me sort my thoughts, organize the crazy, and gives cosmos to the chaos. Even just taking a walk in the evening as the stars begin to twinkle inspires me to write. The capturing of life and channeling it into a puzzle of words is one of my favorite things to do.

How long does it take you to write a book, on average?
Every book has its own timeline. I worked on my INSURRECTION trilogy for about five years – the first book began as my Master of Fine Arts degree thesis, which I wrote in two months, and then about a year later revisited it, chopped off 30,000 words, and added 80,000. Then it turned into a trilogy. The second and third books took about three to four months to write. HERE BE DRAGONS took approximately six months to write. I do a LOT of research because of all the science and military elements. KINGDOM COME took about two months to write, but that was because it’s short (for one!) and I learned the lessons over several years and talked the ideas out to my friends in video chats, so a lot of my “writing” of the book came from transcribing the videos into chapters. EARTHSHINE took me about six months to write because it dealt with many personal struggles I was overcoming at the time.

What are you working on right now?
Currently, I am giving my brain a break! These books have taken years to research, write, edit, and promote, and I need to recharge before I take on another huge project. I put my whole creative self into my work so when I write again I want it to be a rockstar.

What's the best writing tip you can offer?
Write for you. Write what you love. Write to entertain yourself, for your future self, and the right readers will come along. It may take ten years, but if you love the work, then you’ll feel fulfilled and satisfied with the work regardless of who reads it.

What's a book written by another author everyone should read in their lifetime?
WALKING ON WATER by Madeleine L’Engle. This book changed my life. I worked at a church as an office manager and felt restless. My friend recommended WALKING ON WATER and the friendly narrative and inspirational encouragement from L’Engle on a life of making art spoke to me so much that within a month of reading it I enrolled in an MFA in Creative Writing course and have never looked back. If you’re someone who loves to create, read it as soon as possible, especially if you’re feeling unsure about your passion, future, or the daily grind.

Amazon gift card and the return of author Krysten Lindsay Hager

Welcome back to the blog, Krysten Lindsay Hager! I discovered her thanks to a connection with Diana Anderson-Tyler, whose name might sound familiar if you follow the blog.

Krysten writes about friendship, self-esteem, fitting in, frenemies, crushes, fame, first loves, and values.

Who would have thought that daydreaming in math class would pay off for Krysten down the road? I can tell you that I paid attention for the most part considering I was going for my math degree! Krysten went a different route...

Dating the It Guy is a standalone story that shows dating life can be complicated. Krysten has an ability to bring real life issues into the fold, bring them to life and teaching you not only a life lesson, but how to trust and love.

Did you date in high school? Well, Dating the It Guy looks into high school dating, gives it the pathos and dilemma that high school kids often feel. You may find that this book might mimic your life or someone's that you know.

Emme is a sophomore in high school who starts dating, Brendon Agretti, the popular senior who happens to be a senator's son and well-known for his good looks. Emme feels out of her comfort zone in Brendon's world and it doesn't help that his picture perfect ex, Lauren seems determined to get back into his life along with every other girl who wants to be the future Mrs. Agretti.

Emme is already conflicted due to the fact her last boyfriend cheated on her and her whole world is off kilter with her family issues. Life suddenly seems easier keeping Brendon away and relying on her crystals and horoscopes to guide her. Emme soon starts to realize she needs to focus less on the stars and more on her senses.

Can Emme get over her insecurities and make her relationship work? Life sure is complicated when you're dating the it guy.

Still curious about the author? Here are a few interview questions with Krysten from last time...

What inspires you to write?
I find inspiration all over. Music, movies, TV shows inspire me and I also find inspiration in everyday life. The idea of making people feel something is inspiring, but also knowing people will find an escape in a story inspires me to write. I know I really appreciate the books that helped me escape during a difficult time.

How long does it take you to write a book, on average?
Each book has been different. Some have taken years, others about a year.per year. I am doing very well on that goal this year and on track to have about six books release in 2018. However, two of them were already partially written.

What's the best writing tip you can offer?
To read as much as you can. It’s one thing that you really must do if you want to write. I also recommend having an idea box or Pinterest board to put story ideas and things that relate to your story.

The cover of this next featured book is a real... firecracker.

Angera Allen, who I featured this past spring, spends her days running a law firm. In her spare time she enjoys writing, reading, dancing, playing softball, spending time with family, and making friends wherever she goes. Sounds like a cool lady, huh?

Angera started writing after the birth of her daughter in 2012 and hasn’t been able to turn the voices off yet.

Angera's stories are inspired by the several years she spent married into the world of underground music and her undeniable love of dirty and gritty romance novels.

Character's lives are fast-paced and filled will music, mayhem, and hot men. Firecracker is available now on Kindle and paperback.

One weekend.
That’s all it took to turn my life upside down.
One weekend away from the shit storm that is my life.

My name is Ruby Malone.
Wife to the famous frontman and lead singer, Brody Malone.
Best friend to the infamous DJ Izzy.
Mama to my beautiful baby girl, Bella.

This isn’t the beginning of my story, it’s not even the middle and it sure as fuck isn’t the end. This is the story of how I became known as ‘Firecracker’ to the Wolfeman MC and was initiated into the musical world of Spin It, Inc.
